The Rules of the World on Indie Theatre Now

My play, The Rules of the World, created in the Women’s Work Short Play Festival at New Perspectives Theatre and performed as part of the Downtown Urban Theatre Festival at HERE Arts Center, is now published with Indie Theatre Now.
Three generations of estranged women, Nico, a young transgender woman, her mother Eva, who runs a Botanica, and Sibella, Eva’s spunky Italian, Catholic mother, fight to discover the sacred in a world ruled by commodification.

I am Nobody, part of UNCG New Short Film Festival

NSFF PosterMy short film, I am Nobody, will be part of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro New Short Film Festival.

The work will be screened on April 27th.

Films are curated by DMC staff with help from Media Studies faculty. Included in the screening are a selection of films made by UNCG students, as well as shorts created by filmmakers from round the globe. The event starts at 8:00 and will be held on the front lawn of Jackson Library.

I am Nobody, is a short experimental film adapted from an Emily Dickinson poem. The work explores the emotional journey of creating a poem and the nature of solitude.
