Curiouser and Curiouser is an imaginative piece of physical theatre inspired from 1920s German Expressionist silent horror films and Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The experience of being unsettled in Wonderland is explored using masks, puppetry, projections, dance and music. The world is supported by a piano accompaniment, like 1920s silent films. The movement vocabulary of 1920s cinema will be explored as well. The world is highly stylized, distorted, beautiful, heightened, and unsettling.
