12:00 to 3:00

GAMBA Zine, Brainwashing from Phone Towers, and Basement Babes will also be sharing their work during this time.

I have collaborated with both GAMBA Zine and Basement Babes and am delighted to share their work.  I also am excited/humbled to be in the same space as Sarah Nicholls; she’s an incredible artist and I have a huge respect and appreciation for her creative practice!

Basement Babes is a collection of art, writing and thoughts related to or inspired by feminism and Boston’s underground music. Borne out of a kick-ass female friendship, this zine aspires to create an inclusive creative space for people of all genders, races, sexualities and backgrounds who are interested in a more forward-thinking art community. Submissions and inquiries can be made at basementbabeszine@gmail.com. Full issues can be read online at issuu.com/basementbabes.

Proceeds from every zine goes to women’s charities.

GAMBA Zine is a provocative new literary magazine created to inspire passion and thoughtfulness outside the politics of mainstream publication, founded by Melissa Gurney and Christoph Carr.

Sarah Nicholls is a visual artist who makes pictures with language, books with pictures, prints with type, and animations with words. She often uses found language and metal type, combining image, visual narrative, and time. She has written a collection of self-help aphorisms, publishes a series of informational pamphlets, and is currently working on a field guide to extinct birds.
